The official newsletter published by the BGFMA twice yearly. The goal is to help inform bridge engineers about what the BGFMA and its membership is currently doing, provide updates on recently completed and upcoming projects, answer frequently asked questions, introduce any research findings or code revisions, and more.
Generally the projects highlighted in GRIDLINE include those that utilize accelerated construction techniques to perform deck replacement during overnight/weekend closures using precast grid deck panels; a bridge rehabilitation where a lightweight grid deck replaces an existing concrete deck to reduce dead load and increase the live load rating (with little or no structural strengthening); a unique or high profile bridge project utilizing a grid deck, or possibly a 50+ year old structure that is still in service with the existing durable concrete filled steel grid deck. |
